President
Matthew Norris represents the second generation of home builders at Cumberland Homes, Inc. Matthew has been a licensed general contractor since the age of 18 and is a graduate of Campbell University, receiving a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 2007. He began following in his father’s footsteps from an early age and gained extensive knowledge shadowing his father as well as working alongside many of the same subcontractors we are still partners with today. He took over as President and CEO of Cumberland Homes, Inc. in 2016 and now directs and manages all operations. Matthew continues to shape and grow the company with an unwavering commitment to cutting edge design, impeccable quality, and faithful and honest customer service.

Danny Norris's career started in construction at a young age doing heavy construction as an iron worker for Yeargan Construction Company. While with Yeargan, he personally helped to build some of Central and Eastern North Carolina's largest structures, such as the nuclear power plant at the Sharron-Harris Reservoir and the Firestone Factory in Wilson NC. In 1975, he started working for himself as a Framing Subcontractor for various builders in Central and Eastern NC. Over the next decade he would go on to frame over 500 single and multi-family homes. In 1983, he obtained his contractors license and started building his own homes. With over 4 decades of experience in lite and heavy construction, Danny's knowledge and expertise in the construction industry is unparalleled. The years of real life experience and the trials and errors witnessed has created the accomplished skillset needed to navigate this complex business. There is no substitute for experience, and when you choose one of our homes, you can rest assured knowing that your home has been constructed by a true industry veteran and professional. Although now semi-retired, he's still available in an advisory capacity, if needed.

Over the years, we have assembled an elite team of sub-contractors that are simply great at their respected professions. Most of our sub-contractors have been with us for over 20 years and are crucial components of our organization. They have all been chosen because of their commitment to detail during construction on their exceptional service and warranty after the sale. The Norris family considers our sub-contractors as members of our extended family. They are not only colleagues but some of our dearest friends and our success is directly tied to theirs.

Jerry has been with Cumberland Homes Inc for over 30 years. He started with us in 1992 working for one of our subsidiary companies, Paint Craft, as the lead foreman in charge of painting our own homes. Jerry now handles all of our cosmetic warranty items, including nail pops, sheetrock cracks, walk-through items, caulking cracks, etc. He is a tremendous asset and friend, and there is no one we trust better to enter into our customer's homes to not only assist them but also be an exemplary representative of our company.

Austin is an up and coming star at Cumberland Homes Inc. He's one of our youngest employees and brings with him a yearning for knowledge, tremendous work ethic, terrific attitude, and a respectful and courteous demeanor, especially with our customers. He started with Cumberland Homes in 2018 as a warranty technician and as an assistant superintendent. As his experience has increased, he has since been promoted to a full-time superintendent and still meets with most of our customers to assist with warranty needs. Austin received an Associate's degree in Construction Management Technology in 2017 from Wake Tech Community College. In his free time, Austin is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hunting and participating in local bass fishing tournaments.

Greg Johnson
Greg began his career in the building industry in 1995. Although he only began working for Cumberland Homes Inc in 2016, he served as our material salesman for Lowes and Service Building Supply for decades prior. Already having integral knowledge of the personnel and operation of Cumberland Homes Inc, he made for a seamless addition to our staff when we realized a need to have a specialized purchasing agent for our numerous accounts with various vendors. Greg manages purchase orders and accounts payable on everything from building supplies, in house ceramic tile, and direct to consumer lighting. He's tasked with finding the highest quality material at the most attractive pricing. In Greg's spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, and riding his motorcycle.
Starr has been with Cumberland Homes Inc since 2018. She has over 20 years of experience in her field. She received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration with concentration in Business Management, as well as an Associate's Degree in Accounting. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family on their farm or on the ball fields with her kids. She enjoys any outdoors!

Tiffany is the Warranty Coordinator and she has been with Cumberland Homes Inc since 2018. Born and raised in North Carolina, her hobbies include tending her hobby farm, traveling and enjoying the outdoors. Tiffany is excited to surpass customer expectations by attending to every detail and concern, providing the best customer service possible.
Tiffany Pendergraft
Paul brings to the table over 35 years of experience in the construction industry. He has valuable expertise in custom homes, commercial and industrial builds, along with interior fit ups on commercial projects. He also represents a second generation home builder with his late father being a successful and well respected local home builder. Paul is also a licensed general contractor and has been with Cumberland Homes Inc for over 8 years. He enjoys spending time with his wife, family and especially grandkids, along with hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles.
